Light Dome Mini SE
The Light Dome Mini SE is amaran’s first Bowens Mount octabox soft light modifier. Featuring an 8-sided deep parabolic design with a highly reflective silver inner lining, it transforms point-source fixtures such as the amaran 150c and 300c into efficient and directional soft light sources
The amaran Light Dome Mini SE is the ideal soft light modifier for filmmakers and creators needing a lightweight, nimble soft box. Being so light (0.72kg / 1.61lbs) while offering a quick-release support rod system, the Light Dome Mini SE is the perfect soft light modifier for creators on the go who need compact equipment that is simple and quick to set up and tear down. The Light Dome Mini SE’s eight support rods snap easily into place when deploying the soft box. To tear down, each support rod is quickly collapsible via quick-release latches located near the Bowens Mount speed ring. Users can collapse two rods at a time using a pinching motion to disengage each pair of latches. With an octagonal diffusion design, filmmakers and creators can achieve rounder reflections and eye lights compared to a square or rectangular design. For users who need the most output possible out of a compact soft box, the Light Dome Mini SE features a deep parabolic design with a highly reflective inner lining, allowing for highly efficient light output.

Efficient Octagonal Design
The Light Dome Mini SE features an 8-sided front diffusion design, which allows for rounder reflections compared to square or rectangular soft box designs. In addition, the Light Dome Mini SE features a highly reflective silver inner lining which optimizes the light output of the soft box, maximizing the brightness users can achieve when using this soft box.
Compact and Lightweight
Measuring 58.0 x 34.0 x 21.5cm (22.8 x 13.4 x 8.5in) when built, with a weight of only 0.73kg (1.61lbs), the Light Dome Mini SE is similar in size to but lighter than the Aputure Light Dome Mini II, making this soft box truly versatile and nimble. The small size of the soft box allows it to be used effectively in confined spaces, and its lightweight mitigates the necessity of heavy stands to support it.
Universal Bowens Mount
The Light Dome Mini SE features a Universal Bowens Accessory Mount, making it compatible with point-source Bowens Mount fixtures such as the new amaran 150c & 300c and the amaran COB S Series lights. It utilizes the same Bowens Mount as the Light Dome II, Light Dome Mini II, Light Dome SE, Light Box 45x45, and many more Aputure and amaran modifiers. This provides standardization across the Aputure and amaran product lines.
Included Diffusion Cloth and Inner Baffle
Additionally, the Light Dome Mini SE includes a 1.5 Stop Diffusion Cloth and an Inner Baffle Diffusion to give creators and filmmakers more control over how much diffusion they can achieve while using the soft box.
Quick Release Support Rod Design
Coming with a quick-release design, each of the Light Dome Mini SE’s eight support rods snaps into place and are quickly collapsible via release latches located near the speed ring. The latches are releasable two at a time using a pinching motion. This allows the Light Dome Mini SE to be quickly deployed or taken down at a moment’s notice. Compared to other similarly priced soft boxes on the market, including a quick-release design is a major benefit.
Universal Bowens Mount
Consistent with other lighting modifiers across the entire Aputure product line, the Light Dome Mini SE includes a lightweight Bowens Mount to work in tandem with a wide array of Bowens Mount fixtures in the Aputure and amaran ecosystems. Often, other lightweight soft boxes forego the inclusion of a Bowens Mount speed ring, which then must be purchased separately. The Light Dome Mini SE pairs excellently with lights ranging from the ultra-compact amaran COB 60d & COB 60x to the S Series lights, the 150c and 300c, and even the Aputure LS 300d II and 300x.
Travel Friendly
The Light Dome Mini SE collapses compactly into a 19.0 x 19.0 x 46.5cm (7.5 x 7.5 x 18.3in) bundle,which fits perfectly with all of its included accessories into a lightweight carrying bag, making traveling with this soft box a breeze.
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For opened or used items, a minimum 15% restocking fee may apply depending on the item condition.

Certain professional and project-based products are supplied on a Special Order basis and are subject to different return conditions. Please review the “Special Order Items” section below before placing your order.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
For Special Order items, damage or defect claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Certain professional, project-based products are supplied on a Special Order basis and are not regularly stocked. Special Order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the order has been confirmed with the manufacturer.
These items are ordered specifically for individual projects and may include, but are not limited to:

- Studio carts and grip equipment
- Cine lenses and special production gear

In addition, we do not accept returns for sale items, gift cards, perishable goods, hazardous materials, flammable liquids, gases, or personal care products.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you may place a new order for the desired item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
