Tilta Nucleus-M II P-Tap to 7-Pin Power Cable (70cm) — WLC-T06-P7P-70
The Tilta Nucleus-M II P-Tap to 7-Pin Power Cable (70cm), model WLC-T06-P7P-70, is an essential accessory for cinematographers, camera operators, and focus pullers running the Tilta Nucleus-M II wireless lens control system on professional cinema camera builds. This purpose-built cable delivers a clean, direct power solution — drawing from any P-Tap-equipped battery plate or on-camera power source to reliably energize your Nucleus-M I or II motors and hand grips without the need for separate battery packs or bulky power adapters. For Film Gear Canada customers across Canada building high-end cinema rigs in Vancouver and beyond, this cable is a must-have for any Nucleus-M II setup.
Key features of the Tilta WLC-T06-P7P-70 include:
- Custom-Designed for Nucleus-M I & II: Purpose-built compatibility ensures rock-solid performance with all Nucleus-M I and Nucleus-M II motors and hand grips without any modification required.
- P-Tap (D-Tap) Input Connection: Easily integrates with V-mount and Gold Mount battery plates, on-camera batteries, and any power distribution box equipped with a standard P-Tap output port.
- Secure 7-Pin EXT Locking Connector: The locking 7-pin EXT connector prevents accidental disconnection during demanding productions, maintaining uninterrupted power delivery to lens control motors.
- Optimized 70cm Cable Length: Provides enough slack to accommodate a range of lens sizes and rig configurations without excess cable creating clutter or snagging.
- Daisy-Chain Power Capability: Power one motor via this P-Tap cable, then extend power to additional motors using 7-pin to 7-pin cables for a clean, single-source power solution across multi-motor setups.
This Tilta power cable is purpose-built for three core production scenarios: powering a single Nucleus-M II focus motor directly from a V-lock battery plate on a cinema camera rig; running a full multi-motor Nucleus-M II focus/iris/zoom setup on documentary or commercial shoots; and cleanly integrating lens control power into compact handheld or gimbal-mounted cinema rigs where cable management is critical.
Q: What battery systems is the Tilta WLC-T06-P7P-70 compatible with?A: This cable works with any P-Tap (D-Tap) power source including V-lock and Gold Mount battery plates, on-camera batteries, and power distribution boxes — giving you flexibility across virtually all professional camera battery systems used in Canada and worldwide.
Q: Can I use this cable to power multiple Nucleus-M II motors simultaneously?
A: Yes. Connect this P-Tap to 7-Pin cable (WLC-T06-P7P-70) to your first Nucleus-M II motor, then daisy chain power to additional motors using Tilta's 7-pin to 7-pin power cables for a clean, organized multi-motor power configuration.
