Product Video
This official amaran Ray Series video introduces the Ray family, including compact Ray 60c and Ray 120c lights plus higher-output Ray series fixtures.
Key Features
360W OmniColor Full-Spectrum Output
Delivering up to 17,130 lux at 1 meter, the amaran Ray 360c produces over 80% more light than the amaran 300c. Its full RGBWW colour mixing covers a CCT range of 2,500K–10,000K, making it equally at home in warm, cinematic setups and cool, clinical environments. One light handles every scene — interview, product shoot, music video, or broadcast.
OmniColor Engine — Accurate Colour You Can Trust
The OmniColor light engine delivers a fuller, more balanced spectrum than conventional LED panels. Whites are cleaner, skin tones render naturally, and colours stay true both on camera and to the naked eye. With CRI and TLCI both rated ≥95, the Ray 360c meets the colour accuracy standards demanded by professional film and television productions across Canada.
All-in-One Monolight — No External Power Brick
The integrated power supply eliminates the external brick entirely. One AC cable. Faster setup. Cleaner studio floor. The streamlined monolight body makes the Ray 360c as practical on a fast-moving location shoot in Vancouver as it is in a permanent studio build.
DMX Control via USB-C
Connect a USB-C to 5-Pin DMX adapter (sold separately) to integrate the Ray 360c into industry-standard lighting consoles and software. Sync cues, trigger practical effects, and control multiple lights across a complex rig with precision — exactly what professional film and TV productions require.
FlowTurn Adaptive Knob
The FlowTurn knob reads your intent: fine, single-step adjustments for precision dialling, or continuous spin to move quickly through ranges. Responsive, tactile, and fast to operate without looking away from your monitor.
Sidus Link App — Wireless Control
Control colour temperature, brightness, hue, saturation, and built-in effects wirelessly via Bluetooth using the free Sidus Link app on iOS or Android. Adjust from across the set without touching the light.
Built-In Practical Effects
The Ray 360c includes a library of on-set practical effects — fire, lightning, TV flicker, paparazzi, cop lights, and more — triggerable instantly from the FlowTurn knob or Sidus Link app. No additional gels, flags, or equipment required.
IP54 Weather Resistance
The Ray 360c is rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance, making it a reliable choice for outdoor shoots, run-and-gun documentary work, and unpredictable Canadian weather conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
How bright is the amaran Ray 360c, and is it suitable for professional film production?
The amaran Ray 360c delivers up to 17,130 lux at 1 meter — over 80% brighter than the amaran 300c — making it more than capable for professional film, television, and commercial production. Its CRI and TLCI ratings of ≥95 meet broadcast colour accuracy standards, and its 360W output is sufficient to light subjects in medium-sized studios, fill shadows on location, or serve as a key light in interview and documentary setups. Canadian film productions from Vancouver to Toronto use the Ray 360c as a reliable workhorse light.
Can the amaran Ray 360c be used outdoors, and does it work in Canadian weather conditions?
Yes. The Ray 360c carries an IP54 weather resistance rating, protecting it against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. This makes it a practical choice for outdoor shoots, behind-the-scenes documentary work, and location productions where weather conditions are unpredictable — including wet Vancouver winters and variable Canadian climates. It is not rated for full submersion, so it should be protected from heavy rain or standing water.
Where can I buy the amaran Ray 360c in Canada, and is it in stock?
The amaran Ray 360c is available in stock now at Filmgear Canada, Vancouver's professional film equipment retailer. Filmgear Canada maintains inventory in its Vancouver warehouse and ships fast across Canada, including to Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, and beyond. Demo units are available for in-person testing at the Vancouver showroom at 950 Powell Street. Unlike online-only retailers, Filmgear Canada offers local expert support and the ability to see and test the light before purchasing.
What is the difference between the amaran Ray 360c and the amaran 300c?
The amaran Ray 360c and amaran 300c are both professional RGBWW studio lights from the amaran line, but the Ray 360c represents a significant upgrade. The Ray 360c delivers over 80% more output (17,130 lux vs ~9,400 lux at 1m), uses the newer OmniColor light engine for fuller spectrum and more accurate colour, integrates its power supply into the monolight body eliminating the need for an external brick, and adds the FlowTurn adaptive control knob. For productions that need more light, cleaner colour, and a simpler setup, the Ray 360c is the stronger choice.
Does the amaran Ray 360c support DMX control for professional lighting rigs?
Yes. The amaran Ray 360c supports DMX control via a USB-C to 5-Pin DMX adapter (sold separately). This allows full integration with industry-standard lighting consoles and software, enabling cue synchronization, effect triggering, and multi-light control across complex professional rigs. In addition to DMX, the Ray 360c can be controlled via its FlowTurn knob directly on the unit, or wirelessly via Bluetooth using the free Sidus Link app on iOS or Android.
