Its OmniColor engine delivers up to 38,500 lux at 1 m bare, while the metal yoke and junior/baby mounting option suit substantial grip setups.

FAQ
When should I choose the Ray 660c instead of the 360c?
Choose the 660c when your setup needs more output after a large softbox, bounce or longer working distance. Its official bare reading is 38,500 lux at 1 m against 17,130 lux for the Ray 360c. For a close interview, test the smaller light first; both share OmniColor.
Will my large Fresnel or softbox fit?
The Ray 660c has a full-size Bowens mount and a heavier-duty yoke. Fit alone is not a support rating: check the complete accessory weight, balance and stand capacity. The dedicated Ray 360c/660c Fresnel is an option; the box includes a reflector rather than a Fresnel or softbox.
Can the Ray 660c run from batteries on location?
No direct battery input is specified. The integrated supply takes AC through the included 5 m cable. Plan mains distribution and weather-protected connections before a location job.
What protection does IP54 provide?
The fixture is rated against dust ingress and splashes. IP54 does not make the entire lighting rig waterproof; keep the plug, AC distribution and other non-rated equipment protected and follow safe set practice.
Can the Ray 660c work as a white interview key as well as an effect light?
Yes. Its normal CCT range is 2,300–10,000K, and CCT+ expands to 1,800–20,000K. Use a suitable Bowens softbox for a controlled white key, then switch to OmniColor for coloured looks when the scene calls for them.
What electrical load should I plan for a Ray 660c?
Amaran lists 660W maximum light output and 750W maximum power consumption. Use the consumption figure when sizing the AC circuit and distribution, and secure the supplied 5 m cable around stands and foot traffic.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For opened or used items, a minimum 15% restocking fee may apply depending on the item condition.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
If an item is defective within 14 days of delivery, email info@filmgearcanada.com with a short video of the problem and the serial number, or bring it to our showroom. Once we confirm the defect, we’ll replace it (or refund it if a replacement isn’t available) and handle the manufacturer claim ourselves.
For Special Order items, damage or defect claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Certain professional, project-based products are supplied on a Special Order basis and are not regularly stocked. Special Order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the order has been confirmed with the manufacturer. Special Order items are final sale whether they ship from our stock or are ordered from the manufacturer.
These items are ordered specifically for individual projects and may include, but are not limited to:

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you may place a new order for the desired item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.
