Key Features
24.5MP Full-Frame Sensor
The Nikon FX sensor and Z mount support full-frame stills and video with a broad Nikon Z lens system.
Five-Axis In-Body VR
Nikon rates the stabilization system up to 8 stops, supporting handheld stills and video when lens, subject motion, and technique are considered.
Hybrid Stills and Video
Offers mechanical shooting up to 14 fps, 4K 30p full-frame video, 4K 60p in DX crop, a vari-angle screen, and SD plus microSD recording.
How It Compares
Choose the silver Nikon Zf for the same Zf imaging platform in the preferred finish. Choose the Z30 for a smaller DX creator body, or another Nikon Z model when higher-resolution capture, different ergonomics, longer video formats, or a different card and battery workflow matters.
Compatible Accessories and Related Gear
Nikon Z30 Mirrorless Camera and Nikon Zf Mirrorless Camera (Black). Use Nikon Z-mount lenses directly. F-mount NIKKOR lenses require a compatible Nikon mount adapter and may have restrictions. Match sensor coverage, lens stabilization, card speed, battery, USB-C, micro-HDMI, audio, support, and monitoring accessories.
Who Is This For?
For photographers, documentary crews, portrait and event shooters, hybrid creators, and Nikon Z users wanting full-frame imaging with tactile controls and in-body stabilization.
Who Should Choose Something Else?
Choose another body when lower weight, a deeper modern grip, higher resolution, internal RAW video, full-width high-frame-rate 4K, larger media, or a dedicated cinema form factor is required.
