The Nanlite FC-120C LED RGBW Spotlight is a compact 120W full-colour point-source light for Canadian creators, owner-operators, interview crews, and small studios that need serious colour control without the size or cost of a larger cinema fixture. It delivers 12,850 lux from 1 metre at 5600K with the included 45-degree reflector, yet remains light enough for small stands, travel cases, and tight rooms.
Product Overview
The FC-120C covers a 2700K to 7500K CCT range with green-magenta adjustment, full RGB colour, built-in effects, and 0 to 100 percent dimming. It works as a tunable-white interview key, a saturated background light, a product-video accent, or a compact RGB LED light for music videos and branded content. Colour quality is rated at SSI 82 at 3200K, SSI 70 at 5600K, TCI 96, and TLCI 94.
Power flexibility is one of its strongest practical advantages. Run continuously from the included AC adapter, add the separately sold V-mount battery handgrip for location work, or use a USB-C PD power bank or charger rated at 30W or higher. The fixture has its own controls and screen, Bluetooth for the free NANLINK app, built-in 2.4G, and a locking DMX/RDM port, making it equally useful as a simple one-light setup or part of a DMX LED light rig.
The head uses Nanlite's compact FM Mount. A 45-degree reflector is included, and an included Bowens-mount adapter lets you use a much wider range of softboxes and shaping tools. This gives the FC-120C the size advantage of a small native mount without locking you out of the common Bowens ecosystem.

How It Compares
The FC series uses durable composite construction to keep weight and cost below Nanlite's metal and carbon-fibre Forza line. Choose FC when value, portability, and full colour matter more than rental-style construction. Buyers who need substantially more output for larger studios or bigger modifiers should compare the Nanlite FC-500C and Nanlite FC-720C. If full colour is not required, the Nanlite FC-60B is smaller and bi-colour.
Compared with an LED panel light, the FC-120C is more directional and works with reflectors, Fresnels, projection attachments, and softboxes. A panel is faster when you want a wide, soft wash with minimal rigging; the FC-120C is the better tool when beam control and modifier choice drive the shot.
Who Is This For?
Choose the FC-120C for interviews in small rooms, tabletop and product video, mobile content kits, music-video colour, background separation, livestream sets, and compact three-point lighting. It is especially useful for buyers moving from a small battery-powered LED light into a brighter point-source system while keeping RGB control and app convenience.
Who Should Choose Something Else?
Choose a higher-output FC or Forza model if the light must punch through windows, fill a large softbox from farther away, or cover a bigger set. Choose a bi-colour or daylight LED light if saturated colour will rarely be used and every dollar should go toward white-light output. Choose a soft panel if fast, broad diffusion matters more than directional control and modifier flexibility.
Compatible Accessories and Related Gear
FM Mount accessories keep the kit compact, while the included Bowens adapter supports standard Bowens modifiers. Match the stand and softbox to the total rigged weight, not just the bare head. Filmgear Canada also carries a Nanlite FC-120C lantern softbox kit for buyers who want a ready-to-use soft ambient setup.

FAQ
How bright is the Nanlite FC-120C?
With the included 45-degree reflector at 5600K, Nanlite rates the FC-120C at 12,850 lux from 1 metre. That makes it practical for close interview keys, tabletop work, background accents, and controlled softbox setups.
What colour modes does the FC-120C provide?
It provides full RGB colour plus a 2700K to 7500K white-light range and green-magenta adjustment. You can use it for normal tunable-white work, saturated colour, gels, and built-in effects.
Can the FC-120C run from a battery?
Yes. It runs continuously from the included AC adapter, works with a separately sold V-mount battery handgrip, and can use a USB-C PD power bank or charger rated at 30W or higher.
Does the FC-120C work with Bowens-mount softboxes?
Yes. The fixture uses Nanlite FM Mount modifiers directly, and the included Bowens-mount adapter opens access to many standard Bowens softboxes, reflectors, and projection accessories.
How can I control the Nanlite FC-120C?
Use the rear controls and screen, Bluetooth with the NANLINK app, built-in 2.4G for a compatible handheld remote, or the locking DMX/RDM connection for a wired lighting system.
Should I choose the FC-120C or a Nanlite Forza?
Choose the FC-120C when low weight, full colour, and value are the priorities. A Forza model is the better direction for buyers who place more value on metal and carbon-fibre construction for intensive daily use.
Should I step up to the FC-500C or FC-720C?
Step up when the light must travel farther, fill a larger modifier, cover a bigger set, or compete with stronger ambient light. The FC-120C is easier to hide, carry, and rig in smaller rooms.
What comes with the FC-120C?
The standard package includes the FC-120C, AC power adapter and cable, 45-degree FM Mount reflector, Bowens-mount adapter, hard-foam carrying case, and product documentation.
