Designed in conjunction with leading gaffers and DPs it offers a high-performance Fresnel solution that is easier to transport and rig. It will be particularly appreciated by smaller crews needing lighter-weight solutions and gaffers working out of trucks where space is at a premium.

The new NANLUX FL-28 is a lighter, more compact NL mount Fresnel lens for Evoke series LED spotlights. Designed in conjunction with leading gaffers and DPs it offers a high-performance Fresnel solution that is easier to transport and rig. It will be particularly appreciated by smaller crews needing lighter-weight solutions and gaffers working out of trucks where space is at a premium. The NANLUX FL-28 weighs only 3.86kg/8.5 lbs (excluding barn doors) and is 60% smaller than the existing FL-35YK Fresnel. When used with the Evoke 1200B LED spotlight, it can output a massive 50,330 lux @3m (5600K, 17° beam angle). With the Evoke 900C, the FL-28 creates an output of 38,580 lux @3m (5600K, 17° beam angle).

The FL-28 uses the innovative NANLUX NL mount system which is encoded so that the Evoke fixture it attaches to ‘knows’ exactly how to behave and sets the light accordingly. Primarily designed for the Evoke 1200, Evoke 1200B and Evoke 900C, the FL-28 will also work on the most recent Evoke 2400B spotlight, but due to its higher power the FL-28 will safely restrict the output by about 50% when attached, resulting in a reading of 25,610 lux @3m (5600K, 17° beam angle). NANLUX will soon launch another new Fresnel lens specifically for the Evoke 2400B that makes full use of its higher output.

The NANLUX FL-28 beam angle can be adjusted from 17° to 43°, perfect for a wide range of applications. The existing NANLUX FL-35YK Fresnel also remains available for users who require a larger degree of beam angle adjustment, offering a glass lens and tighter 11° spot and wider 45° flood range. When both are set at 30° beam angle the output achieved by either Fresnel lens is similar: the Evoke 900C with FL-35YK outputs 15,460 lux@3m (5600K, 30° beam angle), Evoke 900C with FL-28 outputs 14,990 lux@3m (5600K, 30° beam angle).

About the Evoke 1200B and Evoke 900C

The NANLUX Evoke 1200B bi-color LED spotlight offers impeccable light quality with a luminance level at 5600K comparable to that of a 1.8kW PAR or 2.5kW HMI Fresnel. With a variable CCT range of 2,700K to 6,500K, its advanced bi-color light mixing technologies ensure continuity and accuracy in any CCT change, making CTO/CTB gels a thing of the past. It also offers illumination for flicker free Ultra-High-Speed shooting.

The NANLUX Evoke 900C is a high power spotlight equipped with RGBLAC color mixing system that offers full color tunability. The fixture adopts the advanced RGBLAC six color mixing system -- adding Lime, Amber and Cyan to the primary RGB colors, achieving high accuracy with CRI/TLCI both rated at 96. It allows for more color options and rendering of natural sunlight for the whole time of day, whilst still offering excellent light quality. The Evoke 900C also features G/M±200 tunability for accurate matching with other light sources.
