What Is the Hollyland Solidcom Series?
The Hollyland Solidcom lineup is a family of full-duplex wireless intercom systems designed for film, television, and live production crews. Unlike walkie-talkies, which require you to press a button and take turns speaking, Solidcom systems let every crew member talk and listen simultaneously — just like a normal conversation. There is no push-to-talk, no waiting, no stepping on each other's transmissions.
The lineup currently spans three tiers: the SE (entry-level), the C1 (mid-range), and the C1 Pro (flagship) — each targeting different noise environments, crew sizes, and budget levels. All three operate at 1.9 GHz DECT or 2.4 GHz depending on kit, and all support full-duplex audio with simultaneous talk/listen.

Solidcom C1 Pro — Flagship
The Solidcom C1 Pro is built for productions that can't afford communication failures. It runs on 1.9 GHz DECT — a dedicated voice frequency that avoids the crowded 2.4 GHz band used by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and most consumer wireless devices.
Its defining feature is advanced dual-mic Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC), which continuously analyzes ambient sound and suppresses generators, lighting ballasts, HVAC units, and crowd noise, keeping the speaker's voice front and centre.
The C1 Pro supports Roaming Hub configurations — allowing crews of 10 or 20 to operate in a single linked system with up to 6 talk groups for organised channel separation.

Key Specs
Solidcom C1 — Mid-Range
The Solidcom C1 shares the same full-duplex architecture and 1.9 GHz DECT frequency as the C1 Pro, with basic AEC (Acoustic Echo Cancellation) and DSP noise control rather than the Pro's advanced dual-mic ENC. In controlled studio environments and moderate-noise sets, the difference is minimal.
The C1 series supports hub expansion. A starter kit scales up without replacing hardware — ideal for productions that start small and grow.

Solidcom SE — Entry-Level
The Solidcom SE is Hollyland's most accessible full-duplex intercom. It operates on 1.9 GHz or 2.4 GHz (kit-dependent), supports up to 5 users in a fixed configuration (no hub expansion), and features dual-mic ENC with more than 20 dB noise reduction — higher rated ENC than the C1, despite being the entry-level model.
Best for: ENG crews, documentary teams, small events, or any production where 5 users is sufficient and budget is a constraint.

Which System Is Right for Your Production?
Choose SE if: You have 5 or fewer crew members, you're on a tight budget, and you're working in moderate environments (ENG, doc, small live events).
Choose C1 if: You need up to 8+ users with hub expansion capability, you're in a controlled studio or moderate-noise set, and you want 1.9 GHz DECT reliability without the full C1 Pro price.
Choose C1 Pro if: Your set is loud (generators, crowds, heavy equipment), you need 10–20 simultaneous users, you require multiple talk groups, or communication failure is not an option.
