The SmallRig 3016 is a V-mount battery plate with a supplied dual 15mm rod clamp for LWS camera rigs. It positions a battery on the rods but has no built-in power ports; camera and monitor power must come from the battery’s own outputs and compatible cables. FAQ
Does the 3016 plate itself have D-Tap or USB power outputs?
No. The 3016 holds a V-mount battery on the rig, but the plate has no built-in power ports. Use the outputs on a compatible battery and the appropriate device cables, or choose a power-distribution plate if you need ports on the plate itself.
What support system does the supplied clamp fit?
The included dual clamp mounts on a 15mm LWS rod system. The box includes the clamp and its mounting screws, but not a camera baseplate or the rods.
Will every V-mount battery fit this plate?
SmallRig lists most standard V-mount batteries as compatible, with exceptions for the PAGlink series and Patona Premium Battery for BP-190WS. Check the battery interface before building the rig.
How is the 3016 different from an active V-mount power plate?
The 3016 is a 15mm-rod-mounted battery holder with no power ports on the plate. SmallRig’s 3203B advanced plate also mounts on 15mm rods and adds USB-C, USB-A, D-Tap and DC outputs for power distribution.
What comes in the 3016 package?
It includes the V-mount battery plate, a dual 15mm rod clamp, three Allen wrenches, four short and two long 1/4-20 screws, four M4 screws and four M3 screws. A V-mount battery and a male V-Lock part are separate.
How It Compares
Choose the 3016 when the battery itself provides the outputs and the rig needs a mechanical 15mm-rod mount. Choose the SmallRig 3203B when the plate must also distribute power to accessories.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For opened or used items, a minimum 15% restocking fee may apply depending on the item condition.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
If an item is defective within 14 days of delivery, email info@filmgearcanada.com with a short video of the problem and the serial number, or bring it to our showroom. Once we confirm the defect, we’ll replace it (or refund it if a replacement isn’t available) and handle the manufacturer claim ourselves.
For Special Order items, damage or defect claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Certain professional, project-based products are supplied on a Special Order basis and are not regularly stocked. Special Order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the order has been confirmed with the manufacturer. Special Order items are final sale whether they ship from our stock or are ordered from the manufacturer.
These items are ordered specifically for individual projects and may include, but are not limited to:

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you may place a new order for the desired item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.
