HOMAN FAQ

Which HOMAN card fits my camera?

It depends on the card slot. CFexpress Type A fits Sony bodies such as the A1, A7S III, A7 IV, FX3 and FX30. CFexpress Type B fits cameras such as the Canon EOS R5 C, Nikon Z8 and Nikon Z9. The SD cards fit cameras with an SD slot. Check your camera's manual for the card it needs in each recording mode.

What is the difference between the CFexpress 4.0 Type B and the original Type B card?

Both fit the same CFexpress Type B slot. The 4.0 card runs on PCIe Gen 4 and also works in CFexpress 2.0 Type B slots at that slot's speed. The original HOMAN Type B card uses the earlier CFexpress 2.0 interface.

What do V30, V60 and V90 mean on an SD card?

They are SD Association video speed classes. Each guarantees a minimum sustained write speed: 30 MB/s for V30, 60 MB/s for V60 and 90 MB/s for V90. Your camera's manual lists the class it needs for its higher-bitrate video modes.

Do HOMAN cards come with a warranty?

New HOMAN cards carry the manufacturer's warranty, and HOMAN asks buyers to register their card on the Warranty Activation page at homandata.com. If a card fails, contact us through our warranty support page and we will help coordinate the claim with the manufacturer.
