Product Overview
The amaran Halo 100x is a 100W bi-color COB monolight in the same ultra-compact footprint as the Halo 60x. The Halo name refers to amaran's product line, not to a ring light. This is a point-source Bowens mount fixture, so it works with the same softboxes, domes and fresnels as any studio COB.
It is the small Halo to pick when a 60x is not quite enough. With 4,890 lux at 1 m bare it can key a solo creator in a small room, and it still packs down for travel. Power is flexible: use the included DC adapter at a desk, or feed it from a 100W USB-C PD 3.0 source on the road.
Key Features
- 100W bi-color COB with up to 4,890 lux at 1 m bare and 8,722 lumens of total output.
- Color temperature runs from 2,700K to 6,500K with separate brightness and CCT knobs.
- Accurate white light: CRI 96+ and TLCI 97+. amaran rates SSI at 84 tungsten and 74 daylight, matching what independent spectrometer reviews measured.
- Bowens mount and an 85 degree bare beam that fills softboxes evenly.
- Two power paths: the included AC to DC 100W adapter, or USB-C PD 3.0 at 100W (20V/5A). A USB-C cable is not included, so add one if you plan battery or power-bank use.
- Control on the fixture, in the amaran app over Bluetooth (up to 80 m), or over DMX with the optional USB-C adapter.
- Max fan noise is 28 dBA, with a silent mode (output capped at 20W) for critical audio.

Halo or Something Else?
The Halo 100x is bi-color only. If your work needs RGB color, magnetic battery power and splash resistance, look at the amaran Ray 120c instead. If your room or subject distance keeps growing, the Halo 200x doubles the output and moves to a simple single AC cable. Filmgear Canada stocks all of them.

No softbox or reflector comes in the box anywhere in the Halo line, so budget for a Bowens modifier from day one. The amaran Light Dome 60 pairs naturally with this size. The fixture is rated IP20, so keep it to indoor and covered work.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For opened or used items, a minimum 15% restocking fee may apply depending on the item condition.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
For Special Order items, damage or defect claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Certain professional, project-based products are supplied on a Special Order basis and are not regularly stocked. Special Order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the order has been confirmed with the manufacturer.
These items are ordered specifically for individual projects and may include, but are not limited to:

In addition, we do not accept returns for sale items, gift cards, perishable goods, hazardous materials, flammable liquids, gases, or personal care products.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you may place a new order for the desired item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
