Key Selling Points
- More room through diffusion: its 4,890-lux bare reading at 1 m is above the Halo 60x's 3,270 lux, useful when a close key needs a small softbox.
- Two ways to power: the supplied 100W AC-to-DC adapter is ready for a fixed set; a suitable USB-C PD source is an alternate path, with the required cable sold separately.

Is the Halo 100x enough for a small interview key?
Its official bare rating is 4,890 lux at 1 m. That can suit a close single-person setup, but a softbox and greater distance reduce light at the subject. Compare the Halo 200x if you need more headroom for a larger modifier or wider frame.
Can I power it from USB-C on location?
Yes, amaran lists USB-C PD as an option alongside DC power. The box contains the 100W DC adapter and AC cable, but no USB-C power cable or battery. Match a compatible source and cable to the light's power requirement before relying on that setup.
Can I use my existing Bowens softbox?
The head has a full-size Bowens mount, so a compatible softbox can attach. Check its weight and stand support, especially when the modifier is larger than the light. The supplied tilt adapter connects the fixture to a baby-pin stand; the stand and softbox are separate purchases.
How do I control several Halo lights together?
Set output and CCT on each head, pair compatible units through the amaran app, or add amaran's optional USB-C to 5-pin DMX adapter for a wired console. NFC speeds app pairing but does not replace the power cable.
What colour-temperature range can the Halo 100x match?
Its 2,700–6,500K range covers warm practical-light looks through daylight white. Set the light and camera white balance for the actual scene; the fixture does not produce saturated full-colour effects.
Is the Halo 100x suitable for an uncovered outdoor shoot?
It is rated IP20. Use it in dry or properly covered conditions and keep the power source protected. For a fixture with an IP54 rating and full-colour control, compare the Ray 120c alongside your output and power needs.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For opened or used items, a minimum 15% restocking fee may apply depending on the item condition.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
If an item is defective within 14 days of delivery, email info@filmgearcanada.com with a short video of the problem and the serial number, or bring it to our showroom. Once we confirm the defect, we’ll replace it (or refund it if a replacement isn’t available) and handle the manufacturer claim ourselves.
For Special Order items, damage or defect claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Certain professional, project-based products are supplied on a Special Order basis and are not regularly stocked. Special Order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the order has been confirmed with the manufacturer. Special Order items are final sale whether they ship from our stock or are ordered from the manufacturer.
These items are ordered specifically for individual projects and may include, but are not limited to:

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you may place a new order for the desired item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.
