Available from Filmgear Canada, the amaran Halo 200x is a 179W-output bi-colour Bowens COB for Canadian interview sets that need more reach through diffusion than a compact desk light. It delivers up to 10,530 lux at 1 m bare and powers directly from one AC cable.

Key Selling Points
- A practical key-light step: the 10,530-lux bare rating at 1 m provides room for a softbox or bounce while staying below the size and draw of the Halo 300x.
- No external power brick: connect the included 5 m IEC C13 cable from outlet to fixture. Plan mains access; this model does not use the Halo 60x/100x USB-C PD power path.

FAQ
Should I choose the Halo 200x or move up to the 300x?
The 200x is rated at 10,530 lux bare at 1 m; the Halo 300x is rated at 16,200 lux under the same bare 1 m reference. Choose based on the distance and diffusion you actually need, not the model number alone.
Does the Halo 200x need a separate ballast?
No. Its power supply is built into the head, and the box includes a 5 m AC cable. Place the stand within safe cable reach of an outlet and secure the cable on a busy set.
What modifier comes with the fixture?
The official box list contains the head and AC cable only. Add a compatible Bowens modifier for the beam you want, plus a stand sized for the assembled rig. A large softbox is useful for a close interview; a Fresnel is a different choice when controlled reach matters.
Will it match other white-light fixtures on a multi-camera set?
Its adjustable 2,700–6,500K range lets you align colour temperature with many tungsten or daylight setups. It is rated CRI 96+ and TLCI 97+; test the complete mix and camera white balance on your own set rather than treating a CCT number as a perfect colour match.
Can I control the Halo 200x without walking to the stand?
Yes. The amaran app can adjust a paired fixture, and an optional USB-C to 5-pin DMX adapter provides a wired-console route. Plan that adapter separately; the head also has local controls.
Can the Halo 200x be used in wet weather?
The Halo 200x is rated IP20, so its fixture and AC connection need dry or fully covered conditions. Do not treat the single-cable design as weather protection.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For opened or used items, a minimum 15% restocking fee may apply depending on the item condition.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
If an item is defective within 14 days of delivery, email info@filmgearcanada.com with a short video of the problem and the serial number, or bring it to our showroom. Once we confirm the defect, we’ll replace it (or refund it if a replacement isn’t available) and handle the manufacturer claim ourselves.
For Special Order items, damage or defect claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Certain professional, project-based products are supplied on a Special Order basis and are not regularly stocked. Special Order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the order has been confirmed with the manufacturer. Special Order items are final sale whether they ship from our stock or are ordered from the manufacturer.
These items are ordered specifically for individual projects and may include, but are not limited to:

- Studio carts and grip equipment
- Cine lenses and special production gear

In addition, we do not accept returns for open box, demo or clearance items, gift cards, hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you may place a new order for the desired item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
