Product Overview
The amaran Halo 60x is the smallest light in amaran's Halo series of bi-color COB monolights. Despite the Halo name, it is a point-source fixture with a standard Bowens mount, not a ring light. You get a compact chip-on-board LED that behaves like a scaled-down studio light. Put a softbox, dome or fresnel on it and shape it the way you would any monolight.
It suits desktop content setups, tight interview corners and travel kits. It draws 63W and runs entirely on USB-C PD 3.0 power, so a 65W USB-C battery keeps it working away from wall outlets. For a solo creator building a first serious lighting kit, this is the entry point into the Halo family.
Key Features
- 63W bi-color COB with up to 3,270 lux at 1 m bare and 6,041 lumens of total output.
- Color temperature runs from 2,700K to 6,500K on separate brightness and CCT knobs.
- Accurate white light: CRI 96+ and TLCI 97+. amaran rates SSI at 84 tungsten and 74 daylight, and independent spectrometer reviews have measured the same values.
- Bowens mount with an 85 degree bare beam that fills softboxes and domes evenly.
- USB-C PD 3.0 powered. The included 65W AC adapter covers studio use, and a 65W (20V) USB-C PD battery runs it on location.
- Control it on the fixture, in the amaran app over Bluetooth (up to 80 m), or over DMX with the optional USB-C adapter.
- Max fan noise is 28 dBA, and a silent mode (output capped at 11W) covers critical audio takes.

Halo or Something Else?
The Halo 60x is bi-color only. If you want RGB color effects, magnetic battery power and splash resistance for outdoor work, the amaran Ray 60c is the same size class with amaran's full-color engine. If you need more punch in the same compact footprint, step up to the Halo 100x. Filmgear Canada stocks both lines, so you can compare them directly.

No softbox or reflector is included with any Halo model, so plan a Bowens modifier from the start. The amaran Light Dome 60 is a natural first softbox at this size. The Halo line is rated IP20, so keep it to indoor and covered work.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For opened or used items, a minimum 15% restocking fee may apply depending on the item condition.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
For Special Order items, damage or defect claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Certain professional, project-based products are supplied on a Special Order basis and are not regularly stocked. Special Order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the order has been confirmed with the manufacturer.
These items are ordered specifically for individual projects and may include, but are not limited to:

- Cine lenses and special production gear

In addition, we do not accept returns for sale items, gift cards, perishable goods, hazardous materials, flammable liquids, gases, or personal care products.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you may place a new order for the desired item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
