Available from Filmgear Canada, the amaran Halo 60x is a compact 56W-output bi-colour Bowens-mount COB for Canadian creators lighting a desk, close interview or product shot. Its 2,700–6,500K range and USB-C PD option make it easier to move between a fixed set and a small location kit.

Key Selling Points
- Light from a small head: up to 3,270 lux at 1 m bare through an 85° beam. Place it close for an interview, or use it as a hair or background light in a larger kit.
- Match warm and cool rooms: 2,700–6,500K, CRI 96+ and TLCI 97+ give a single white-light fixture room to match practical lamps or daylight.
- Choose your power path: use the included 65W AC-to-USB-C adapter or a compatible USB-C PD 3.0 source for a mobile setup. Check the source and cable rating before planning full output away from the wall.
- Build around Bowens: the full-size mount accepts compatible softboxes and beam-control tools. The supplied baby-pin tilt adapter mounts the small head to a suitable stand.

FAQ
Can the Halo 60x light a face through a softbox?
For a close, controlled single-subject setup, its 3,270-lux bare rating gives you a useful starting point. A softbox spreads and reduces the light, so test your working distance and exposure. If the modifier is large or the light must sit farther away, the Halo 100x adds output without changing the basic Bowens workflow.
Which USB-C supply should I use away from an outlet?
The included adapter covers AC use. For portable use, amaran specifies USB-C PD 3.0; choose a supply and cable that meet the fixture's power requirement. The Halo 60x does not have a direct V-mount plate, so plan the USB-C power path before a location shoot.
Does the box include a stand or softbox?
No. It includes the fixture, AC-to-USB-C adapter, AC cable and a tilt adapter for a baby-pin stand. Add a stand and the Bowens modifier that gives the beam size you need; neither is included.
Can it join an app-controlled or DMX lighting setup?
Yes. Pair it to the amaran app by NFC for wireless adjustments. Wired DMX requires amaran's separate USB-C to 5-pin DMX adapter; the light's own controls remain available without the app.
Can I use the Halo 60x in rain or mist?
The Halo 60x is rated IP20, so keep the fixture and its power connections in dry or fully covered conditions. If outdoor weather resistance is part of the job, compare an IP54-rated Ray fixture and protect the rest of the power setup as well.
Does the Halo 60x make coloured backgrounds?
It is a bi-colour white-light fixture with a 2,700–6,500K range, not a full-colour RGB light. Use a gel on a suitable Bowens accessory, or choose a Ray colour model when repeatable saturated hues matter.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For opened or used items, a minimum 15% restocking fee may apply depending on the item condition.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
If an item is defective within 14 days of delivery, email info@filmgearcanada.com with a short video of the problem and the serial number, or bring it to our showroom. Once we confirm the defect, we’ll replace it (or refund it if a replacement isn’t available) and handle the manufacturer claim ourselves.
For Special Order items, damage or defect claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Certain professional, project-based products are supplied on a Special Order basis and are not regularly stocked. Special Order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the order has been confirmed with the manufacturer. Special Order items are final sale whether they ship from our stock or are ordered from the manufacturer.
These items are ordered specifically for individual projects and may include, but are not limited to:

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you may place a new order for the desired item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
