The Octopus Adapter II PL-Z connects an ARRI PL lens to a Nikon Z-mount camera body. Its aluminum-alloy body and SUS 304 stainless-steel mount are machined to 0.01 mm precision, while factory-calibrated flange distance is designed to maintain infinity focus without user adjustment.
DZOFILM redesigned the internal structure with 7.12% more rear-element clearance and rates the adapter for S35, full-frame, and medium-format camera systems. The PL-Z version weighs about 178 g without its base and about 186 g with the base, the lightest official configuration in the Adapter II family.
This is a fully mechanical adapter. It does not pass electronic lens data, autofocus, iris control, or power between the lens and camera. The detachable support foot provides 1/4-inch-20 threads for tying heavier cinema-lens setups into a cage, baseplate, or lens-support system.
