The Nanlux Evoke 150C RGB LED Spot Light brings the Nebula C8 eight-colour engine into a compact 150W, all-in-one fixture for owner-operators, cinematographers, documentary crews, and rental teams. It combines a 1000K to 20000K CCT range, saturated colour, strong output, professional control, and IP66 protection without a separate ballast.
Product Overview
Nanlux's Nebula C8 engine mixes Deep Red, Red, Amber, Lime, Green, Cyan, Blue, and Indigo emitters. The result is a very wide white-light range with green-magenta adjustment of plus or minus 200, as well as deep colour for narrative, commercial, and music-video work. Nanlux lists average CRI 98, TLCI 98, SSI 86 at 3200K, and SSI 78 at 5600K.
With the included 45-degree reflector, the Evoke 150C produces 22,230 lux from 1 metre. Its 150W output and compact body make it useful as a close key, travel light, secondary unit, or colour accent. The head measures about 8.23 by 5.79 by 5.01 inches, while the fixture with yoke and reflector weighs about 6.6 pounds, keeping the system practical for small crews.
The all-in-one design removes the separate ballast and accepts AC, 14.4V to 28V DC, or USB-C PD power at 60W or higher. Control options include the onboard interface, NANLINK app, NFC pairing, LumenRadio CRMX, and an optional expansion path for wired or network control as a DMX LED light. IP66 protection helps the light continue working around dust and rain when the complete rig and power connections are handled appropriately.

How It Compares
The Evoke 150C is the portable end of Nanlux's full-colour cinema family. It is easier to place and power than a large head, but it will not deliver the same throw or modifier-filling output as the Nanlux Evoke 600C kit. Many working crews will use the 600C as the main key and the 150C as an accent, compact second key, or mobile unit.
Compared with the Nanlite FC-120C, the Evoke 150C adds the wider Nebula C8 range, all-in-one metal construction, IP66 protection, CRMX, and a more professional location workflow. The FC-120C is the stronger value choice for creators who mainly need a compact full-colour light indoors. The Evoke is built for buyers who will use its colour range, weather protection, power flexibility, and control options on paid sets.
Who Is This For?
Choose the Evoke 150C for documentary and interview travel kits, narrative fill and accent work, commercial tabletop sets, location portraits, car interiors, music videos, and an owner-operator cinema lighting package. It suits crews that want pro colour and CRMX in a head small enough to rig quickly, carry without a separate ballast, and power from common cinema-battery workflows.
Who Should Choose Something Else?
Choose the Evoke 600C or another higher-output studio light when the main requirement is long throw, large modifiers, daylight competition, or lighting a wide space. Choose a less expensive RGB LED light when the job does not need IP66 protection, CRMX, the 1000K to 20000K range, or an all-in-one metal body. Choose a panel when a broad soft wash is more useful than a directional point source.
Compatible Accessories and Related Gear
The Evoke 150C uses Nanlux's FE Mount with electronic contacts and supports compatible FM and FE light-shaping accessories where the accessory listing names the fixture. The included 45-degree reflector concentrates output, while compatible softboxes, Fresnels, projection tools, diffusion domes, and barndoors adapt the beam. Check the accessory's exact mount and Evoke 150C listing before purchase.

FAQ
What makes the Nanlux Evoke 150C different from a typical RGB light?
Its Nebula C8 engine mixes eight LED colours to create saturated colour and a very wide 1000K to 20000K white-light range, with green-magenta adjustment across the range.
How bright is the Evoke 150C?
Nanlux rates the fixture at 22,230 lux from 1 metre with the included 45-degree reflector. That is substantial output for a compact 150W full-colour spotlight.
Can the Evoke 150C run on battery power?
Yes. It accepts AC power, 14.4V to 28V DC power, and USB-C PD power at 60W or higher. The included D-Tap cable supports an appropriate cinema-battery setup.
Is the Nanlux Evoke 150C weather resistant?
Yes. The fixture carries an IP66 rating for protection against dust and powerful water jets, which makes it a stronger option for demanding location work than an indoor-only light.
Does the Evoke 150C need a separate ballast?
No. Its all-in-one design places the power system in the head, so setup uses a single power connection and there is no separate control box to rig or pack.
How can I control the Evoke 150C?
Use its onboard interface, the NANLINK app, NFC pairing, LumenRadio CRMX, or compatible wired and networked control options. Some advanced connections require the appropriate expansion adapter.
Should I choose the Evoke 150C or Evoke 600C?
Choose the 150C for a compact key, accent, travel kit, or secondary unit. Move to the 600C when the job needs more throw, a larger modifier, or stronger output from the main key.
What comes with the Evoke 150C?
The standard package includes the Evoke 150C, yoke, 45-degree FE Mount reflector, AC power cable, magnetic base, D-Tap cable, USB flash drive, carrying bag, and product documentation.
