The Hollyland Pyro S 4K is a wireless video transmission system with HDMI and SDI on both the transmitter and receiver. It is built for on-set monitoring and director and client village use where a 4K signal needs to leave the camera and reach monitors without running long cable. Both video standards on both ends means it slots into either a consumer or broadcast workflow without converters.

FAQ

Is Hollyland Pyro S good for focus pulling?

It can work for general monitoring, director viewing, and client viewing, but critical focus pulling depends on latency tolerance, RF conditions, and the camera department standard. For high-pressure focus work, compare against Teradek Bolt before buying.

What matters most in a wireless video system?

Reliability, latency, range, receiver count, HDMI/SDI routing, and RF environment matter more than resolution alone. A clean 1080p monitoring feed is usually more useful than a higher-resolution system that drops signal during the take.

Does Pyro S support HDMI and SDI?

Yes. Pyro S uses HDMI and SDI input/output workflow, with the transmitter taking HDMI and SDI input and the receiver providing HDMI and SDI output.

How many receivers can the Pyro system feed?

Hollyland lists Broadcast Mode support for one transmitter feeding up to four receivers. App connections and Broadcast Mode can affect range, so plan the receiver count around the actual set layout.

Should I choose Pyro S, Pyro 7, or Teradek Bolt?

Choose Pyro S for transmitter/receiver wireless video, Pyro 7 when a 7-inch wireless monitor is part of the package, and Teradek Bolt when near-zero-delay professional wireless video is the real production requirement.
