The NiSi C5 Filmmaker Kit is a clamp-on matte box with three filters, made for run-and-gun, gimbal and small-crew shooters who want cinema-style filter control without rails. It fits 95mm cine lenses directly and 67, 72, 77 and 82mm filter threads with the included rings, and the VND plus the 4-stop ND cover 1 to 9 stops.
Key Features
- Clamp-on, no rails: The C5 clamps onto a 95mm cine lens front. Rings for 67, 72, 77 and 82mm filter threads are included.
- Filters sit at the rear: The filters mount at the back of the box, close to the lens, which NiSi says blocks stray light and flare better than front-loading compact boxes. NiSi reports no vignetting at 15mm on full frame, tested with a Canon 15-35mm f/2.8.
- Up to 9 stops of ND: The True Color VND covers 1 to 5 stops. Add the included 4x5.65 Nano IR ND 1.2 (4 stops) to reach 5 to 9 stops. NiSi states the pairing avoids the X-pattern of a single strong VND.
- Geared, motor-ready filters: The VND turns by a gear on top and can be driven by a wireless follow focus motor mounted on the 15mm rod holder.
- Two filter stages: A top-entry tray takes 4x4 or 100x100mm filters 2mm or 4mm thick, or the C5 rotating filters. A side-entry slot takes 4x5.65 filters.
- Light enough for a gimbal: The holder weighs 350g and is built from aluminium, composite plastic and carbon fibre, with side vents that cut wind resistance and an adjustable carbon fibre top flag.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For opened or used items, a minimum 15% restocking fee may apply depending on the item condition.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
If an item is defective within 14 days of delivery, email info@filmgearcanada.com with a short video of the problem and the serial number, or bring it to our showroom. Once we confirm the defect, we’ll replace it (or refund it if a replacement isn’t available) and handle the manufacturer claim ourselves.
For Special Order items, damage or defect claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Special Order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the order has been confirmed with the manufacturer. Special Order items are final sale whether they ship from our stock or are ordered from the manufacturer.
