Product Details

Product Overview
This is the lens-only version, so it is best for buyers who already have the Spotlight SE housing or are completing a Spotlight SE kit. Compared with the 19 degree lens, the 36 degree lens gives a wider projection angle that is easier to use in smaller rooms, close tabletop setups, interview backgrounds, or creative spaces where the projected pattern needs to cover more of the frame. In the Spotlight SE system, the lens works alongside the housing, shutters, gobos, and optional iris to shape hard light with more precision than a standard reflector or softbox.
Key Features
- 36 degree lens-only accessory for the amaran Spotlight SE projection modifier system
- Wider projection option than the 19 degree lens path, useful for closer setups or larger illuminated areas
- Designed for the Spotlight SE system, which works with compatible Bowens mount point-source fixtures up to 300W
- Useful for background shapes, window slashes, stage-style accents, product highlights, and controlled hard-light effects
How It Compares
Choose the 36 degree lens when the projected area needs to be wider or the fixture sits closer to the subject. Choose the 19 degree lens when the setup needs a tighter throw. Choose the full 36 degree kit if the Spotlight SE housing, gobos, gobo holder, and carrying case are also needed.
Compatible Accessories and Related Gear
Useful same-system links include the amaran Spotlight SE 36 Lens Kit, amaran Spotlight SE 19 Lens Kit, amaran 19 Lens for Spotlight SE, and amaran Spotlight SE Iris.
Who Is This For?
Choose this lens for gaffers, cinematographers, schools, product shooters, tabletop creators, and small studios that already use Spotlight SE and want the wider projection path.
Who Should Choose Something Else?
Choose something else if you need the full Spotlight SE kit, a tighter 19 degree beam, a softbox, a Fresnel, a complete Bowens light fixture, RGB output, or a camera lens for image capture.

FAQ
What is the amaran Spotlight SE 36 lens used for?
It is the wider 36 degree lens option for the amaran Spotlight SE projection system, used when the projected beam needs to cover a larger or closer area.
Is this the full amaran Spotlight SE 36 Lens Kit?
No. This product is the 36 degree lens only. Choose the full 36 degree kit when you also need the Spotlight SE housing, gobo holder, gobos, and carrying case.
How do I choose in an amaran Spotlight SE 19 vs 36 setup?
Choose 36 degrees for wider coverage or closer projection distances. Choose 19 degrees when the setup needs a narrower beam, more reach, or a smaller illuminated area.
What does the Spotlight SE system add to a Bowens light?
The Spotlight SE system turns compatible Bowens mount fixtures into a projection modifier setup for shutters, gobos, optional iris control, and interchangeable optics.
Should I add the amaran Spotlight SE Iris with this lens?
Add the iris when the circular opening needs adjustable size control. The 36 degree lens controls projection angle, while the iris controls aperture size.
