Available from Filmgear Canada, the amaran Halo 300x is a bi-colour Bowens-mount COB light for Canadian interview, podcast and content studios. Its 276W maximum light output delivers up to 16,200 lux at 1 m without a modifier, while a single AC cable keeps the power setup simple.

FAQ
Is the Halo 300x enough for an indoor key light?
Its rated maximum is 16,200 lux at 1 m without an accessory. A softbox, subject distance and camera exposure will all change the usable level, so choose the modifier and placement with the fixture. For a smaller room, compare the Halo 200x; for a larger set or more diffusion, compare the Halo 600x.
What else do I need to use it?
The package contains the fixture and a 5 m AC cable. Add a stand rated for your complete light and modifier, then choose a compatible Bowens modifier such as a softbox for interviews or a Fresnel for a more controlled beam. The amaran Light Dome 90 is one softbox option sold separately.
Should I choose the Halo 300x or Ray 360c?
Choose the Halo 300x when a 2,700–6,500K white-light key and AC studio workflow cover the job. The Ray 360c adds full-colour OmniColor control, an expanded 1,800–20,000K CCT+ range and an IP54 rating. Both are Bowens-mount lights; the Ray is the relevant step when colour effects or splash resistance matter.
Can I change the light from my phone or a DMX console?
Yes. Use the amaran app for wireless control, or add amaran's optional USB-C to 5-pin DMX adapter for a wired console. The fixture's separate brightness and colour-temperature knobs still work without either accessory.
Is the Halo 300x a 300W light?
Amaran distinguishes 276W maximum light output from 305W maximum power consumption for this model. Use the output figure to compare the fixture tier and the consumption figure when planning electrical capacity.
Can I take the Halo 300x into rain?
The fixture is rated IP20. Keep the head and AC connection dry or under suitable cover; for a weather-resistant colour fixture, compare an IP54-rated Ray model while still protecting stands and power distribution.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For opened or used items, a minimum 15% restocking fee may apply depending on the item condition.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
If an item is defective within 14 days of delivery, email info@filmgearcanada.com with a short video of the problem and the serial number, or bring it to our showroom. Once we confirm the defect, we’ll replace it (or refund it if a replacement isn’t available) and handle the manufacturer claim ourselves.
For Special Order items, damage or defect claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Certain professional, project-based products are supplied on a Special Order basis and are not regularly stocked. Special Order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the order has been confirmed with the manufacturer. Special Order items are final sale whether they ship from our stock or are ordered from the manufacturer.
These items are ordered specifically for individual projects and may include, but are not limited to:

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you may place a new order for the desired item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
