Product Overview
This is the core cage in Tilta’s Sony FX5 rigging system. It locks to the camera at three points to resist twisting, yet the handle-side bracket can be removed with two lower screws when a lighter half-cage configuration is more practical. Reinforced corners add protection around the camera body without turning the rig into an oversized studio build.
Accessory mounting is spread across the top and sides through 1/4-inch-20 and 3/8-inch-16 threads, locating points, a cold shoe and a top NATO rail. The standalone top plate preserves support for the original Sony XLR handle, while the bi-directional ARCA plate supports fast transitions between compatible tripod and gimbal receivers.
Tilta also shapes the cage around native buttons, dials, the screen and battery area. A locking HDMI cable clamp helps reduce accidental cable movement, a magnetic battery latch adds security, and the chassis is designed to work with Tilta’s Nucleus Auto Focus Adapter without blocking the camera.

Choose this Full Camera Cage when you already own handles, rods, a baseplate or a power solution and want the lightest entry into the FX5 system. It includes the cage, matching ARCA plate, HDMI clamp and tool, but it does not add the handling, 15mm LWS or V-mount components found in the larger kits.
The Base Kit adds Xeno top and side handles. The Pro Kit goes further with both handles, an adjustable 15mm LWS baseplate and two rods. The Power Kit is the better starting point when extended V-mount power matters more than handles or a rod-supported lens build.
