Available from Filmgear Canada, the amaran Ray 120c is a 120W full-colour Bowens-mount COB light for compact location and studio kits. Its 599 g, 5.1 cm-deep body delivers up to 6,850 lux at 1 m bare, with AC, USB-C PD or optional Ace E-Lock battery power when the shoot moves away from an outlet.

Key Selling Points
- White or full colour: OmniColor supports a standard 2,300–10,000K CCT range, expanded 1,800–20,000K CCT+ control and full-colour looks.
- Build a portable kit: use the included 150W AC adapter, a suitable USB-C PD 3.0 supply, or an optional amaran Peak battery through Ace E-Lock. Full output over USB-C requires a source capable of 140W at 28V/5A.

FAQ
Can the Ray 120c run at full output from a battery?
Yes, with a power path that meets its requirements. Amaran specifies USB-C PD 3.0 at up to 28V/5A (140W), or its optional Peak battery through Ace E-Lock for full output. The smaller Peak 75 caps this fixture at 50%; a lower-rated power bank or cable can also limit brightness. The Peak batteries are sold separately.
Will my Bowens softbox fit, and what comes with the light?
The fixture has a full-size Bowens mount, and the box already includes an Octa Dome 30 with diffusion and grid. If you plan to reuse a third-party softbox, check that its specific speed ring seats and locks on this compact head before relying on it for a shoot. A larger compatible softbox is a separate purchase.
Can the Ray 120c work as a compact location colour light?
The Ray 120c gives you full-colour control, an IP54-rated fixture and an included small softbox; the Halo 100x is a 2,700–6,500K bi-colour light rated IP20 with no modifier in its box. Both accept suitable USB-C PD power. Choose by whether colour, weather resistance and included diffusion matter more than a simpler white-light kit.
Which stand and power arrangement is easiest?
The included Ace Lock to Baby Pin Adapter Grip fits a suitable stand and can hold the supplied power adapter. Check tilt clearance with your chosen modifier, especially when booming the light or using a larger softbox. For cable-free use, pair the fixture with a compatible Peak battery; for longer sessions, plan a properly rated USB-C PD or AC source and secure its cable.
Why choose the Ray 120c over the Ray 60c?
The 120c is rated at 6,850 lux bare at 1 m and 120W maximum output, versus 3,910 lux and 60W for the 60c. Choose the larger head when a modifier, longer throw or higher exposure target needs that extra headroom; both support full-colour work.
Can I adjust the Ray 120c without touching the head?
Yes. Pair the fixture to the amaran app for wireless changes or use an optional USB-C to 5-pin DMX adapter for a wired control rig. The head’s FlowTurn controls are still available for local changes.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For opened or used items, a minimum 15% restocking fee may apply depending on the item condition.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
If an item is defective within 14 days of delivery, email info@filmgearcanada.com with a short video of the problem and the serial number, or bring it to our showroom. Once we confirm the defect, we’ll replace it (or refund it if a replacement isn’t available) and handle the manufacturer claim ourselves.
For Special Order items, damage or defect claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Certain professional, project-based products are supplied on a Special Order basis and are not regularly stocked. Special Order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once the order has been confirmed with the manufacturer. Special Order items are final sale whether they ship from our stock or are ordered from the manufacturer.
These items are ordered specifically for individual projects and may include, but are not limited to:

In addition, we do not accept returns for open box, demo or clearance items, gift cards, hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you may place a new order for the desired item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
