FAQ

Does LARK M3 record 32-bit float audio inside the transmitters?

Hollyland lists 32-bit float as an output format. It reaches Apple devices running a third-party recording app, while Android devices receive up to 24-bit. The specifications list no onboard storage for the transmitters, so the recording is made on the connected phone, computer or camera.

Can I plug the USB-C receiver into a computer?

Yes. Hollyland lists the USB-C receiver for iPhone 15, 16 and 17, Android phones and tablets, iPad, MacBook and other computers with a USB-C port. On a computer it works with third-party recording software, which is also how you capture separate tracks.

How do I record each person on a separate track?

Connect the USB-C receiver or the camera receiver to a computer with a USB-C cable and record in compatible third-party software, and each transmitter lands on its own track. Hollyland also supports separate tracks through a hot shoe adapter, which is not included in this kit. This kit has two transmitters, so it gives you two tracks; adding transmitters takes it to four.

Can I add more transmitters or receivers later?

Yes. One receiver connects to up to four transmitters, and one transmitter can pair with up to four receivers at the same time. Transmitters and receivers can be added or removed during a shoot without stopping the audio already being captured. The LARK M3 transmitter, camera receiver and USB-C receiver are also sold individually, so ask Filmgear Canada about availability.

Does LARK M3 work with a Lightning iPhone?

The phone receiver in this kit has a USB-C plug, and the current LARK M3 line-up does not include a Lightning receiver. It is designed for USB-C phones, tablets and computers, plus cameras through the camera receiver.

Is there a limiter to stop loud voices from clipping?

Yes. Auto-Limit Clip Protection balances excessive volume levels to keep audio stable when a speaker suddenly gets louder. You can also set gain in six levels on the USB-C receiver through the app, or in three levels on the camera receiver with its onboard slider or the app.
